On May 17, 2024, the Sixth China (Shanghai) International Exhibition on Metrology and Testing Technologies and Equipment—hereinafter referred to as the “China Metrology Expo”—was officially inaugurated. The event was hosted by the Shanghai Metrology Association, co-hosted by the China Metrology Association, supported technically by the Shanghai Institute of Metrological Science and Technology, and organized by Shanghai Public Welfare Metrology Fair.
This year’s expo has drawn management and technical personnel from national and provincial key research institutes, third-party laboratories, and the R&D labs of large and medium-sized enterprises around the world, who have come to visit, procure, and engage in exchanges. In addition, public utilities, water companies and water‑service groups, gas utilities, State Grid Corporation, as well as end‑user organizations in the oil, chemical, steel, environmental, water‑resources, healthcare, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, and industrial metrology sectors have all attended to observe and network on site. The three‑day event also featured a series of seminars—covering topics such as “Digital and Intelligent Metrology Driving the Development of High‑End Instruments and Meters,” chronic disease prevention and food safety, smart metering for water, electricity, and gas meters, and the advancement of metrology and testing for high‑end equipment—as well as numerous public‑interest science‑education activities. With a total exhibition space of 17,000 square meters, the expo attracted more than 360 leading enterprises, metrology technology institutions, and service providers, among which high‑tech firms and “specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative” enterprises accounted for over 50% of exhibitors. The showcased portfolio exceeded 1,500 items, primarily comprising cutting‑edge metrology and testing technologies and equipment, intelligent testing systems, and digital information‑management platforms, while providing venues for technical exchanges, the presentation of industry‑university‑research collaborative achievements, and technology transfer.
Shanghai kefeng once again showcased its relevant equipment at the exhibition. At the event, the company highlighted its star product—the safety valve test bench—along with a range of efficient and convenient safety valve maintenance tools. Thanks to their outstanding performance and meticulous craftsmanship, these products drew the attention of numerous visitors, who stopped to take a closer look and offered high praise. Attendees not only showed keen interest in the products but also actively sought information, gaining a thorough understanding of their features and how to use them. In addition, Shanghai kefeng’s participation attracted media attention, and the company was granted an on-site interview by the Oriental Finance Channel. The interview aired on June 23 and was rebroadcast on June 28 and June 29, further enhancing the company’s visibility and influence.
