Complete set of lapping tools for the sealing surfaces of internally guided safety valves

Manual lapping of the sealing surfaces of flat‑type safety valves. After a period of service, safety valves may develop leaks due to gradual damage to their sealing surfaces. Consequently, repairing these sealing surfaces is a key component of maintenance for safety valves and other types of valves. This practice not only helps enterprises save substantial costs but also ensures that equipment can be promptly returned to operation. The sealing surfaces of a safety valve consist of two parts: the valve disc and the valve seat. In the absence of specialized tools, it is common to use the valve disc to lap against the valve seat; however, this approach cannot guarantee surface flatness and often results in leakage even with slight movement. The proper method is to lap each surface separately, achieving both flatness and smoothness.

Device Features

This tool set comprises a grinding plate, a grinding head, and auxiliary tools. It includes two grinding plates for valve‑core lapping: a hard‑alloy fine‑grinding plate with a diameter of 300 mm and a soft cast‑iron coarse‑grinding plate also with a diameter of 300 mm.
Grinding heads for valve seat lapping are available in nine sizes (DN20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 80, 100, and 150 mm).
It is designed in accordance with the nominal diameter specified in GB 1047 and is suitable for repairing safety valves of various models with nominal diameters ranging from DN25 to DN150.
The structure is a state-of-the-art combined internal-guidance type, making it extremely convenient to use.
This product is durable and delivers significant performance. Over time, if wear occurs, simply resurface it on a surface grinder.
